If you want a classy place to eat, go to Silver Star. The servers are excellent . The salad is all you can eat. So good.

Our first experience -- perfection! My husband and I went to celebrate his birthday. The steak he ordered and grilled salmon I ordered we're cooked just right and the flavor was nothing less than exceptional. The mushrooms we shared on the side were mouthwatering. Jasmine, our server, was also exceptional. She was knowledgeable on menu items, dietary restrictions, timing and pacecwas perfect for what looked to be a busy evening. Also we're grateful for the heads up on long ticket times and knew what to expect, but honestly we would never have known a difference.Their Wine Manager stopped by and gave us a taste on a decadent wine I was curious about. Although delicious, I went with a wonderful lavendar cocktail.Thank you all for a wonderful dining experience. Look forward to coming back soon!

Loved it, when visiting Montana alls I could think of is I wanted steak. Silver star delivered. From the first bite to the last I was in heaven. They take pride in their food and it shows. I know I will never probably have another opportunity to experience such good food. Totally recommended if your looking for a great experience with out of this world food

Great service and fabulous food. Silver Star makes the best Dirty Martini in town. Their bar menu is superb. The muscles are served in a jalapeno butter sauce that is just scrumptious. My husband is a fan of the lettuce wraps. My daughter loves the calamari. And the desserts! The bread pudding is a must and the Tuxedo cake is my favorite.

I ordered the prime rib (aged 40 days), and I must say that it was the best steak I have ever eaten. This restaurant is a very upscale and classy place. I had no problem in receiving each course of my meal in a very timely manner, and the waiter was extremely friendly and helpful in everything we asked for! I would go back to restaurant in a heartbeat, if I'm ever back in Helena, Montana!!!

We ate dinner in the lounge at happy hour on a monday. We were able to order off the happy hour menu, lounge menu and main dinner menu. We got the steak tips and raviolis off the happy hour menu. They had run out of the potatoes. The steak tips were very salty but the ravioli was great. Also tried onion rings that were really good. I had the steak and lovely mashed potatoes. My husband has the bison burger which was huge. The special happy hour cocktail was a cranberry apple that I enjoyed. Service was really good. Did slow down a bit at the end when they started getting busy.

Helena’s premier wine list. Tons of options at every price range. Ask for Sye and he will guide you to the correct glass to suit your occasion or meal. Wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

We just sat at one of the tables in the bar and ordered from the menu there. The food and drinks are great and I was able to order exactly what I wanted. My waitress was extremely professional, kind and friendly. Ther kind you don't get much anymore. I had a good time.

They were very accommodating for our large party including kids and babies. The atmosphere was pleasant. The service was excellent. Very polite and patient and fast when it came to drink refills. I ordered the ribeye which was cooked perfectly but very tough. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so tough considering the aging process their menu claims to use, but sometimes it's just the steak itself and not the cook. My fiance ordered the new York strip and it was excellent so it could have just been a fluke that I got a tough steak.

Got in quickly with no reservation on a Thursday night. The server was excellent and engaging. The food was good. Good variety of food and prices with a bar menu. Good happy hour specials

Such good food. Best place I've found in Helena so far. However, our food took FOREVER to arrive. The nice thing is that our server was amazing and took very good care of us even though the kitchen was slow.

This place has some of the best cocktails I've ever had. I highly recommend the Catnip or the Pomegranate Cosmo. They are fantastic! Atmosphere is great and food it some of the best in town for sure! Great place for a date or business meeting.

Between the two of us and our food allergies & food preferences, eating out can be a challenge for us and the waitstaff. Our Silver Star waitress gave us gold star service. The food was very good & service was over the top.

I’m from Bozeman and have eaten here twice. The steak was amazing both times. My last visit was on 3/9 during their busy hour. I made a reservation through google ahead of time and we were seated instantly upon arrival. My table of 2 had great service, a very attentive server and overall good experience. The place was busy but the wait time for our orders was minimal while the food and drinks were excellent quality.

Understated Montana elegance with a superb menu. Seafood, steaks, pasta, and great cocktails; Silver Star is a destination spot to relax and enjoy a delightful dinner with friends. One of Helena's finest establishments, but come casual and fit right in.

Came in pretty late from work and had great food and great drink service. They did forget a side I added but gave it to me for free anyways even though it came 5 minutes after my main entree. The plate of shrimp I added was for my dog anyways so it wasnt a big deal to me. 5 stars because i walked out fat and happy, my dog was fat and happy, and the bartender got extra tip for knocking the shrimp off the bill. Will eat here anytime Im in Helena now.

The BEST Moscow Mules, possibly in the entire world. I kid you not. I've been bar hopping to high end establishments in Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Texas, Colorado, Montana, Idaho, and Washington. NOTHING compares to the Moscow Mules served here. The raspberry and peach mules are among my favorites. Also the best steak and staff anyone could ask for. This is one of my favorite places I've ever been to.

Great experience eating here! Fantastic service, and delicious food. Their scallops were divine! On the spendy side but worth every scrumptious bite! 10/10 will go again.

Like the Atmosphere, but bring a big Wallet

Everything was amazing! The service was great and the food was just as excellent! They offer everything from certified black angus steaks to fresh ground burgers and even hand battered fish and chips. I would fully recommend this place to anyone looking for good meal with an awesome atmosphere.

I struggle some times when reviewing steak house restaurants. I spent many years in Chicago and traveling eating incredibly fine steaks. That was not this. But that doesn't make Silver Star a bad place... but I would not pay $40 for a NY here again. The steak was cooked well, but there was no seasonings, not salt, nor pepper, no butter, no herbs, nothing special. There was also no real char / sear on the outside which I was a little bummed about. However! The shining star in my opinion was the cocktail menu! Very creative, very tasty, and reasonably priced. I could have stayed drinking all night long and not repeated a drink. I will be back... but I'll probably have chicken.

It's easy to forget what a great restaurant experience - food and service - is like until you see it again. For my wife and I, celebrating our special day was made more memorable thanks to the staff at the Silver Star. The drinks and food were delicious, the hostess and waitstaff spoiled us, and we made the most of our time there. Bravo!
